TUNNEL MODIFICATION

Here are some pictures of how to cut the tunnel on an auto car to allow the shifter to fit. If you are swapping from an auto, This is really the best approach, as swapping to the 6-speed tunnel will still need slight modifications where the forward relocation arm hits the 6-speed tunnel. The modifications to a 6-speed tunnel are very very minor, but I don't think it would be worthwhile to weld in a new tunnel, then have to modify it.

Here is a view of the custom "cover" that James made to keep the outside elements from entering the cabin. He used a combination of a piece of rubber, with a metal outer frame which is secured to the stock tunnel with screws. Then he added dynamat over the entire area.
